The Laußnitzer Hütte is a charming, self-catering alpine cabin belonging to the Laußnitzer organic farm. Perched at 1,836m above sea level at the edge of the western Nockberge mountains, it sits in an absolutely pristine landscape just a 20-minute walk from Lake Laußnitzsee. Our rustic solid-wood cabin features a small kitchen with a wood-burning stove, a cozy lounge with a fireplace, and a dormitory-style sleeping area for up to 9 people, complete with a separate bathroom with shower and toilet. Enjoy the peace and simplicity far from civilization in a breathtaking mountain setting—ideal for nature lovers seeking tranquility and families alike. Next to the guest cabin is our private hut, which we use only occasionally. After long days of mending fences or checking on our suckler cow herd, we sometimes take the opportunity to stay overnight on the alp ourselves. Our alpine pasture is accessible only by SUV or 4WD vehicle. From the final parking area, it is approximately a 45-minute walk. For an additional fee (€30 per trip), we offer a luggage transport service, limited to one trip on the day of arrival and one on the day of departure.
