At Alp Grosser Schwyberg, at 1645 meters above sea level, you'll enjoy a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view spanning 13 cantons. (Check out our website: grosserschwyberg.ch). This alpine pasture is located very close to the idyllic holiday paradise of Schwarzsee in the canton of Fribourg. The alpine hut also houses a cozy restaurant where we serve traditional delicacies. The spot for your tent or camper is about 150 meters from the alpine hut. In our Alp Restaurant, we spoil our guests with homemade Rösti, Flammkuchen, Fondue, cheese slices, and other authentic, hearty treats. Hikers and bikers will find a huge variety of trails in the Schwarzsee region, and the lake itself invites you to swim or paddle!

A very beautiful pitch with a unique panorama. 🇨🇭 Highly recommended if you are completely self-sufficient. The sanitary facilities are a bit too far away if you're in a real hurry, about 500m. A recommendation from us: if 2 pitches are reserved to enjoy the solitude, it should stay that way; otherwise, you should simply list one more vehicle pitch here in the app ;) The hosts were very friendly and deeply relaxed. The food in the restaurant was super delicious. All in all, top!
Beautiful spot in the middle of the mountains. Incredible view... Great welcome and an unlikely restaurant in the middle of nowhere! Main problem: the site isn't suitable for pitching a tent, it's really better suited for a van... and there's limited space for too many vans on certain nights. For a one-night stopover in a van, don't hesitate!
Top spot on the Grosser Schwyberg app, great view, simple and straightforward process. We had a very delicious meal in the restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a cool place; we were there with a 6.40-meter camper van. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great.
The spot, the sanitary facilities, and the food are very good. Just as described. One star deducted because the spot is not for a maximum of 2 vehicles and 5 people as stated. We were 3 vehicles, 5 adults, and 4 children at the spot. But overall, recommended.
