Servus everyone, We'd love to introduce you to our charming little mountain farm, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Bavarian Forest. We're ideally situated between the towns of Straubing, Cham, and Viechtach, right on the edge of the Bavarian Forest, perched above the village of Stallwang (94375). The village square is just a pleasant 5-minute walk away, offering a bakery, pharmacy, hardware store, bus stop, a restaurant serving traditional cuisine, and a pizzeria. As mentioned, our small farm is located slightly higher than the village, boasting magnificent views of the Gallnerberg's south-facing slope. With only two alpacas and a few cats, absolute tranquility reigns here. It's centrally located yet wonderfully secluded. Dogs are warmly welcome! After a hike of about 30 to 45 minutes, you'll reach our local mountain, which, depending on the weather, offers breathtaking views all the way to the Alps. We are the perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking tours, and the famous Goldsteig trail even passes through our property. Nearby, you can also discover a fascinating castle ruin. Our property offers space for up to three vehicles simultaneously. A maximum distance of approximately 30 meters between vehicles ensures privacy. One parking space is located below the old stable, on a grass-covered, paved path, easily accessible from the road. Another parking space is situated above the farm (currently only accessible for vehicles under 6.4 m in length) and offers views of the meadow and the village center. The third parking space is located below the farm, next to the alpaca pasture. A fire pit with a grill is available for your use. Firewood can be obtained for a donation. Toilets, electricity (6 A), drinking water, and wastewater disposal/bio-toilet are available or possible. Wi-Fi is accessible in the garden and in front of the house. Behind the house, you'll find a warm water shower that you are welcome to use. For cozy evenings and in case of bad weather, a lovely common room with a fully equipped kitchen, a Swedish stove, and satellite TV is at your disposal. Upon your arrival, you'll receive a short tour of the farm. Please note that quiet hours begin at 10 PM. If you are traveling with children, please be aware that we are located on a mountain and are surrounded by steep slopes.
