Camping in Glarus

At our farm (campsite behind the farm, 2 pitches), you can relax as you please, enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Tödi, or head out for hiking, cycling, and sightseeing. The peaceful atmosphere is only occasionally interrupted by a passing train or tractor. An idyllic public fire pit is located just a 200-meter walk away, directly along the Linth river (Please note: a fire ban is currently in effect in and near forested areas). In summer, the dairy cows, cattle, and calves are up on the alpine pasture, where we produce traditional Glarus alpine cheese, which is available in our farm shop. However, our chickens and cat stay at home and will be your direct neighbors at the camp.
Guests are welcome to use the toilet and shower in the barn, and fresh water (hot and cold) is provided. In case of bad weather, the covered barn area (Tenn) can be used as a dining and lounge space.
Every guest who pays the visitor's tax and registers in the digital system receives the GlarnerlandPass (guest card), granting free public transport starting on your arrival day, along with other great perks.

Biohof Allmeind is wonderfully situated, with completely unobstructed views of the fields and the surrounding mountains; it is idyllic and absolutely peaceful. It was a great experience—thank you to Andrea and Jakob for letting us visit this wonderful place.
Quietly located campsite right on the bike path – an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Glarnerland. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, even offering me a place to sleep in the hayloft. The bathroom was very clean, lovingly decorated, and equipped with helpful tourism brochures to make informative use of the time spent inside. I would happily come back, thank you once again!
Our first Nomady experience and a really great one right off the bat! The pitch is pleasantly quiet, everything was clean and straightforward, and the nearby fire pit is really cool. Jakob and Andrea were super friendly, helpful, and easygoing. We felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!
We had 6 wonderful days on the meadow all to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed it :-) The pitch and the bathroom in the barn are top-notch! With the guest card, we were able to make great day trips to Elm and Lake Mettlen.
We had a great time on the large meadow with a view of the Tödi. The surrounding area is great for biking and hiking, e.g. Lake Oberblegi.
Very pleasant hosts, everything you need is available. As a native of Glarus living away from home, I always enjoy interesting conversations with the 'boss'. I'll be back.

We stayed overnight. It has everything you need for a short camping trip. Beautifully located. Very friendly contact with Jakob. The cheese and sausages from the farm shop are also great. Thanks and best regards
