Camp Guthiddai

Italy-08025 NU
Camp Guthiddai is located in the heart of Sardinia, just a few kilometers from the sea and at the foot of the Corrasi massif. An experience immersed in stunning landscapes, culture, art, and delicious farm-to-table cuisine. Your campsite is situated on the eastern slope of the Corrasi limestone massif, directly opposite Sa preda 'e Mugrones (the Mouflon Stone), in the fertile Guthiddai Valley. Here, you'll find a large, sunny meadow where you can spend your holiday in a tent or camper van. All facilities are just a few steps away on our grounds, which also feature a restaurant. If you wish, you can savor exquisite traditional Sardinian dishes paired with our own olive oil and wine. In this wonderful setting, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, visit nearby beaches, or explore the hinterland with hikes, trekking, and canoeing on Lake Cedrino.

The place is truly beautiful, well-maintained, and lovingly cared for. You arrive and immediately feel at ease. The shower room is a real luxury and a treat compared to the showers you are usually used to at standard campsites. However, we also have a few points to criticize. We were told that check-in was possible from 3:00 PM. We arrived at 3:00 PM, but there wasn't a soul in sight. We waited 2 hours before we could check in. The place isn't really designed for camping, so there were no proper parking spots for the van. There was no shade, which was almost unbearable in the heat. The farm itself doesn't offer much, so it's better to plan an activity during the day. There are numerous dogs to be heard all around; they bark almost non-stop, especially in the evening. Dinner at the farm was delicious, but unfortunately far too much for us, which was a bit of a shame as we couldn't properly enjoy the individual courses. Upon check-in, the host had no record of our booking or our conversation on Nomady. We had booked 2 nights + dinner. Even on the second day, he asked if we were extending our stay. I looked at him confused; he clearly didn't know how long we had booked for. We asked if we could check out in the morning and settle our restaurant bill. He asked what time we would be checking out. The next morning, once again, no one was there, even though we had agreed on the time the night before.
Very clean and beautiful pitch.
A great place. I was alone in a shady spot (there is one for a small van or car with ground tent) with the mountain view and the stars. Plus a minute walk from an outstanding Sardinian restaurant with the friendliest of staff on site. Great mountain biking in the area and hikes nearby. I would come again!
Nice rural area, cute farm. Excellent dinner, we can recommend to book that if you want to try a typical Sardinian meal :) The camping spot has a beautiful view. There is nearly no shade, but we arrived in the evening, so no problem. Very clean bathroom.
Nice site, well located. Very friendly welcome, we felt very welcome. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed in the evening. Only partly recommended for self-catering, as dishwashing facilities are lacking. Showers and toilets clean and fine.
