Camp Hotzenplotz – Naturcamp am Brahmsee

Welcome to Camp Hotzenplotz! Our nature-focused campsite is idyllically nestled in the heart of the forest right on the shores of Lake Brahmsee in Schleswig-Holstein – perfect for anyone seeking peace, nature, and an authentic camping vibe. Our campsite offers pitches for campers, vans, and tents. As we occasionally use the site for organized youth camps, pitches are only unavailable during large group bookings. On all other days, you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of our small nature camp. The site features two composting toilets, two urinals, and our rustic 'Western-style' shower. Drinking water is provided in canisters. The heart of the camp is the communal campfire pit – a place where friendly conversations with fellow guests often spark. It’s not uncommon to arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend. If our main lodge is not occupied, you may use the sanitary facilities there (including hot showers, toilets, and fresh water) upon request. When the youth camp is vacant, you also have access to our private lake entrance and swimming area. We intentionally do not offer traditional camping luxuries like electricity hookups or marked-out plots. Instead, you can expect nature, tranquility, campfires, starry skies, and a relaxed, family-like atmosphere. Hiking and cycling trails start right at your doorstep, and Lake Brahmsee is perfect for relaxing or taking a refreshing dip.
