Camping on the Moselle

Welcome! We are Matthias and Fiona, a German-Dutch couple, and this is our property, which we're transforming into a small, simple campspace. There's a large meadow for camping, a composting toilet, and a big fire pit. Sleep under the stars and hear nothing but the gentle murmur of the stream's trickling water. Discover owls, deer, bats, rabbits, and who knows what else! Enjoy the tranquility on the edge of the small town of Dreckenach, just a stone's throw from the beautiful Moselle River. There, you'll be surrounded by vineyards, castles, and historic places like Koblenz and Cochem. Plus, there are many beautiful walks to discover, offering you an ultimate insight into all that the Eifel nature has to offer. Come by, and I'll gladly tell you more about the area in Dutch, German, or English.

Please refrain from entering the house, the motorhomes, or the large tent and camping area. However, the lawn and the surrounding nature are all yours to explore and enjoy.

We really enjoyed the two nights we spent at Fiona and her husband's campsite. Wonderfully quiet and beautiful surroundings with plenty of hiking trails. The welcome was very warm. The presence of the cat was a lovely addition. He formed a sweet bond with our dog. We will miss the cat!
You fully deserve all 5 stars. We had a great welcome and had a large area all to ourselves. The campsite is quiet and we were even able to let our dog run off-leash. One side is fenced and the other has a stream. We had a lot of fun at the campsite, and the fire pit is very nicely built, with plenty of wood available too. Thank you very much for the lovely short break!

We had a wonderful, peaceful time to ourselves. A toilet was available and clean. Plenty of wood was provided, so we were able to make a great campfire. The starry sky is gorgeous! We didn't meet Fiona herself, but her representative was available at any time for help and questions. We felt very welcome and had a great night. Thank you very much
A wonderful little piece of heaven. Very lovely people. We had no issues and really enjoyed our time there. It was very quiet and relaxing. The toilet was always clean and pleasant to use. Fresh water was always available, and we could easily get in touch through the website. The cat was very sweet and trusting.
The surrounding area is beautiful, with lots of great hiking trails and castles. Koblenz is just under half an hour away by car.
We would love to come back!
I stayed with Fiona and Matthias for two nights. Both are super nice, open-minded, and make sure every day that everything is going well.
As Fiona writes, it's a small "alternative" campsite.
There were two small drawbacks for me:
Unfortunately, the main/village road is behind the stream, and the Moselle is a 6-minute drive away, or about 50 minutes on foot.
Nevertheless, the site is in a great location for trips towards Cochem, Koblenz, Maria Laach...
That's why, all in all, it's still 5 stars.
Such a wonderful and natural place. One of the most beautiful campsites on our cycling trip. Great hostess, so lovely and friendly, simply fantastic! We would love to come back! ❤️👍
