We welcome you to our idyllic campsite, 'Where Railways Meet Rural Romance.' Do you love watching trains go by? Enjoy observing sheep or simply soaking up stunning sunsets? How about watching horses gallop freely across the paddock? Would you like fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast? Whether you enjoy the sound of a tractor in the field or just want to sit back and watch the exciting trains between Treuchtlingen and Gunzenhausen, you've come to the right place! From Easter onwards, you'll find sheep, a cat, as well as chickens, quails, and rabbits on our farm. Horses graze in the paddock adjacent to the property. Our pitch is located behind our farmhouse, offering wonderful views and fantastic evening sun. From approximately April to November, you can park right next to the sheep pasture. Prefer to be closer to the railway or the wheat fields? No problem—we can help you choose your perfect spot. We are located in the beautiful Franconian Lake District, about 50km southwest of Nuremberg. From here, you can easily reach Lake Altmühl, the Small and Large Lake Brombach, as well as Lake Roth and Lake Igelsbach. Distances: - Altmühl cycle path: 300m - Lake Altmühl: 4km - Small Lake Brombach: 10km - Large Lake Brombach: 15km - Gunzenhausen (groceries, etc.): 1km Gas grilling is welcome. However, as we are in a rural area, we kindly ask you to refrain from using charcoal. We offer a camping toilet for a small fee, with a tent provided for privacy. A stocked fridge is also available, featuring cold drinks, fresh eggs, seasonal produce, and ice cream (honesty box system). You can also refill your fresh water for a small contribution to our 'water piggy bank.' The pitch price includes 4 people and 1 vehicle!
