This unique oval tent is located on the 'Hirschenhof' farm. The tent features a basic kitchenette with electricity (including a heater and fan) and water. It is furnished with two sets of twin beds; please note that bed linen and towels are not included (available for an extra charge of CHF 15 per set). Toilets and showers are located in the main building, a 2-minute walk away, and are shared with other guests. The tent is not insulated. Location & Access: Situated on the Zugerberg, this is a prime area for hiking and mountain biking. Please note there is no direct public transport; the nearest mountain station is the Zugerberg Bahn, and the closest train station is Walchwil. We offer a shuttle service for CHF 15 per trip. Important: Driving over the Zugerberg is restricted on Sundays and public holidays. Check-in: Available until 8:00 PM. Weather conditions: As the tent is not insulated, it can get very warm in high temperatures. For colder days, we strongly recommend bringing warm clothing. Hirschenhof Farm Life: Our farm is home to sheep, fallow deer, chickens, and pigs. We offer an outdoor play area, a small rowing boat on the pond, a trampoline, and more. The 'Hirschenbeizli' (farm tavern) is always open for self-service drinks; this is also where the toilets and showers are located (2 minutes from the tent). Campfire: You are welcome to make a fire (self-managed); a crate of firewood is available for CHF 15.

A special experience – thank you Valeria & family! Spending the night in the 'open' tent, seeing the stars from the bed, and hearing the deer was definitely the absolute highlight of our stay. The warm welcome and the fantastic location in the heart of nature did the rest. We stayed 2 nights in the tent with two children (4 and 8 years old). The nights were already quite chilly in mid-September, but with sleeping bags and the small heater, we were wonderfully cozy. Thank you Valeria

Our stay at Valeria's was very pleasant. The tent accommodation was great. The huge tent is perfectly equipped with everything you need for a basic kitchen. The tent, furnishings, and everything around it, such as the shower and toilet, were very clean! We really liked that we could buy jam, syrup, firewood, and meat right on the farm. Valeria is open and friendly. Also very accommodating. We were especially delighted by the charming visit from the farm cat... We spent a wonderful getaway at the Hirschenhof. Thank you, Valeria

We had a wonderful time at the Hirschenhof! The tent is huge, well-equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. Next to the tent, there is an area with a herd of deer (probably where the name comes from :-) That was really lovely. The farm is very lively with several other residents. Still, we had our peace and quiet. It was a great mix. There is also a permaculture garden where you can buy various vegetables. The surrounding area is beautiful with two great lakes within walking distance. However, it's best to arrive by car or bicycle so you can be mobile on site.
