Camping in Bern

Häxefeus

Switzerland-3089 Rüeggisberg
At the foot of the Gantrisch mountains, perched on a rocky outcrop about 150 meters above the Schwarzwasser river and away from the village, lies our small farmhouse. Approximately 80 meters from the house, a very quiet spot awaits you all to yourself in the heart of nature, with views of the rolling Schwarzenburgerland and a wonderful vista of the Stockhorn range. The campsite features a fire pit with seating, firewood, and a grill grate. Electricity is also available. A guest toilet/shower with a separate entrance is located at the house, about 80m from the camp. Our location in the Gantrisch Nature Park offers numerous opportunities to explore the area on foot or by bike. Highlights include the trail into the Muscherental, a hike up the Leiternpass, a visit to the Rüeggisberg monastery ruins, the Abegg-Stiftung in Riggisberg with its world-unique textile collection, an excursion to the Plättlihöhle cave, and when it gets hot, you can cool off in the Schwarzwasser, just a 5-minute drive away. You are also welcome to book a trekking tour with our llamas. In our large 'nature-living-room garden' with all its cozy corners, we are happy to serve you our homemade, freshly prepared tarte flambée or a 'Maison' fondue upon request. Important information for our guests: From August 17, 2026, to November 30, 2026, the road through the village of Hinterfultigen will be closed due to roadworks. To reach our Nomady camp, you must arrive via Schwarzenburg - Schönentannen - Rossgrabenbrücke - Hinterfultigen (NOT via Riggisberg / Rüeggisberg).

Sue and Christoph are two wonderful, warm-hearted people. What incredible hospitality—we felt right at home from the very first second. No matter what you need, Sue has simply thought of everything. The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean, and everything you could possibly need is provided here as well. If we could give 10 stars, we would do so immediately. 💞 We wish you both all the best and good health! Thank you for everything 💞
It was wonderful how warmly Sue welcomed us. A lovely aperitif, a tour of the huge property that is run with so much love. The site is also designed with great care and attention to small details. The fantastic view rounded off a great weekend in this beautiful place. Also worth mentioning are the delicious homemade pickled gherkins made by Christoph himself. You have the opportunity to buy them at the farm shop. It's well worth it ;-)
A wonderful pitch with everything you need (table, hammock, sink, etc.), a great view, and super friendly hosts. Thank you so much for the great stay!
"Off the charts, simply top-notch," as a Bernese would say. Yes, with those words, everything has already been said. The place, simply magical; Sue and Christoph, undescribably wonderful people with a huge heart in the right place. The peace and quiet, the view, the spot—we wouldn't know what more we could wish for. Except—that we can come back again very soon. Ch. & R.
A huge thank you to Christoph and Sue 🥰. We felt right at home again from the very first second. You two are incredibly nice and your hospitality is one of a kind. You both deserve 6 stars ⭐️ 🙂. Best wishes from the four of us 😉
Absolutely amazing campsite, far exceeding all expectations. The hosts are warm and friendly and have thought of every little detail. Additionally, they offer food and drinks, served just like in a restaurant, as well as a self-service farm shop. If you've forgotten something on your trip, you'll definitely find it at the campsite or in the bathroom. Beautiful farm and surroundings. Great camping facilities: fire pit, wood, plenty of space. Plus, there's plenty for entertainment and comfort, like darts and a hammock. Very clean and well-equipped bathroom. We extremely enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!
We were warmly welcomed by Sue with an aperitif and shown around her beautiful property. The pitch is wonderful and offers everything your heart desires and more, from the covered seating area to the barbecue spot and the outdoor shower. The toilet and shower are clean and lovingly decorated, and there is even a washing-up area with a small farm shop. We would come back anytime! ❤️
Sue is a warm and likeable host. The place is fantastic and furnished with so much love—truly a unique little spot. The kiosk with its delicacies is simply delicious, and the freshly baked bread is another highlight. Absolutely grand! :-)
