What is that?

Park Overnight (PON) offers simple, legal overnight spots in parking areas—ideal for spontaneous and safe travel. The spots are meant for one or more nights and are perfect when you need a quiet, official place to park, sleep and continue your journey.

The pitches for campers, motorhomes, and vans are located at the P3 parking area on the Hochkar. Nestled in the heart of the Ybbstal Alps, these spots offer impressive views of the surrounding ski resort. The region is a paradise for hiking and trail running enthusiasts, with numerous trails waiting to be explored. For climbing fans, two via ferratas add an extra thrill to the mountain experience. An absolute highlight of any visit to the Hochkar is the 360° Skytour, Lower Austria's highest viewing platform. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the landscape that make every trip unforgettable. We look forward to welcoming you to the Hochkar!

Very expensive without any infrastructure. You don't just pay for the pitch, but also per person and a local tax. For what? You use the restaurants anyway and leave your money there.

It was quite nice, a lonely spot under the starry sky. The Hochkar area is beautiful and cozy. The ski lift parking lot has little charm, and it's somewhat incomprehensible why the camper parking isn't located at the valley station but rather below it.

I received a very helpful welcome from the Hochkar staff, who showed me where I could spend the night undisturbed. I was all alone on the site and could watch the starry sky—it was a truly unique experience! I'd love to come back!
