Such a beautiful little spot. And an incredibly nice host. Thank you for letting me spend my weekend at your place.

It was a wonderful stay and felt like a village farm right in the middle of the city. Ludwig and his wife are great hosts. We stayed there with our three children, who really enjoyed their time. We would come back anytime and absolutely recommend it. Many thanks to Ludwig and his family!

Wonderfully quiet pitch in the middle of an orchard. We spent two days under a large cherry tree and explored Dresden during the day. Ludwig and his family have brought an old nursery back to life and grow a variety of fruits and vegetables themselves (there's even a small farm shop where we bought very tasty plums and striped beets). Great respect for this project and all the best for your future! We had a great time with you. In just under half an hour, you can reach the center of Dresden on foot or by public transport. We were self-sufficient with our setup and didn't need anything else (except sun for the solar panels :-).

Our experience at Stadtrandidyll-Camp im Wandelgrund We received a warm welcome and spent two quiet nights at the campsite. Communication with the hosts was pleasant and straightforward. Due to heavy rainfall, we were unable to drive onto the designated pitch, but we were easily allowed to use an alternative spot – thank you very much for that! We arrived with two VW Bullis (two families) – larger vehicles would probably not have had access to the site due to the narrow entrance. Regarding the toilet situation: We discussed this directly with the host upon arrival. We were then offered the use of the dry toilet, which we really appreciated. The fact that it was later mentioned in the host's review that "officially no toilet is offered" confused us a bit – from our point of view, the situation was clearly settled, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to use the site. The site is generally recommendable – especially for smaller campers and anyone looking for a simple, close-to-nature option. A clearly defined solution for toilet use and waste disposal would be a great addition to the offer. We would also hope that reviews from the host's side are fair and reflect the full context – especially when misunderstandings have already been discussed in person.

A perfect place with great hosts.

With Ludwig, who welcomed us in a very friendly and uncomplicated way, we found just the right spot to enjoy some peace and quiet despite city life. In the middle of Dresden with sheep in the traditional orchard... that is pure bliss! We wanted to be self-sufficient, so we didn't miss anything. With our Berlingo, the hedge-lined path was no problem, and by e-bike we could reach the Frauenkirche in a quarter of an hour. We are thrilled by Ludwig's ideas for the farm, wish the young family many like-minded guests, and will definitely be back.

"Adventure" describes it best. The camp is super close to Dresden city center—about 30 minutes and you are right in the middle of town. Ludwig and his wife are super nice and friendly. Unfortunately, there is only a dry toilet and no real way to wash your hands or at least do the dishes, so everything has to be done inside the camper. It was also quite adventurous that during our stay, all campers (3 of us) were supplied with electricity via a single outdoor socket and 1 thin extension cord. You can do it that way, but it is honestly pretty hazardous 🤔, but if you can stand self-sufficiently, all in all it's a great spot. Oh yeah, the access road to the camp is also quite thrilling; you should have good tire tread and know exactly how high, wide, and long your rig is.
