Welcome to 'Auf der Halde' – a place nestled amidst vineyards, perfect for relaxation and unwinding. Here, you can savor the tranquility of nature and escape the everyday. Our pitch is located just outside the charming wine village of Mauchen, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The region boasts numerous wineries to explore – and of course, you're warmly invited to visit our own Weingut Sommerhalter! A truly special highlight of this pitch is the panoramic view stretching all the way to France and the breathtaking sunsets. Thanks to its central location, you can reach Basel in just 30 minutes, Freiburg in about 35 minutes, and France in a matter of minutes. A trip to the Black Forest is also always worthwhile. For those who love to be active, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, walking, and cycling tours through the vineyards or the Rhine Valley – a true nature experience!

I spent one night in Mauchen, right in the middle of the vineyards, and had a wonderful time. The pitch is located in a magnificent spot with a great view and a fantastic sunset. Everything was very well-maintained and the surroundings are perfect for relaxing and enjoying yourself. The host was also very friendly and welcoming. I felt completely at home and would love to come back.

A very beautiful spot, everything clean and a super view. Lovely walks with the dog possible from there. Nice welcome and pleasant contact. We'd love to come back!
