Terre Libre 1, Steinhäuschen am Bach

France-83440 Fayence
A charming stone cottage set within a stunning biotope, crossed by a gentle stream. We named our property 'Terre Libre' because we believe the earth should be free. The grounds feature a house, a cabin, a tipi, and space for tents and campers: Terre Libre 1, 2, 3, and 4. Thanks to the terraced landscape and lush vegetation, the house, tipi, and cabin are visually secluded from one another, ensuring total privacy. Several thousand square meters offer space for relaxation, fun, sports, and play in the heart of a largely untouched natural habitat. The Camandre, a clear and cool stream perfect for swimming, flows right through the property. Unique hiking trails start directly from the doorstep. A wonderful experience is simply walking upstream to discover small waterfalls and natural pools; the stream leads past Seillans all the way to its source. The village of Fayence is just a 10-minute walk away, as are many other nearby attractions. Equipped sport climbing areas are a 15-minute drive away. In the Gorges du Verdon (approx. 45 mins), you can enjoy rafting, climbing, and canoeing. The sea and various beaches are about 40 minutes away, while the 'Lac de St Cassien' is just a 15-minute drive. In summer, various buses and shuttle services (navettes) run to the lake and the coast. The property is secluded; in summer, neighboring houses are hidden from view, though an occasional pool siren or distant music might remind you they exist. The final 100 meters of the road leading to the property are unpaved. There is a second, fully paved access road where you can park just 50 meters from the property.

Mosquitoes! Please burn some coffee. You will find the bowls and ground coffee out on the terrace (the coffee is in the yellow rattan chest of drawers). The smoke repels mosquitoes across a wide area within 10 minutes. Until then, grab a fan—the little pests can't land in the breeze! We also take the smoking bowls down to the stream with us, where it works especially well.

Our property is nestled in the heart of a natural habitat, traversed by a charming stream where small crabs and trout thrive. Wild boars even reside on the neighboring property! Yet, despite this idyllic wilderness, the village is just a short 10-minute walk away. The property itself is situated in a valley, making it hard to believe – and especially to hear – that the road is so close. You'll find charming farms in the nearby area, for example, in Seillans, Fayence, and Tourrettes. In Seillans, Brigitte offers delightful llama walks, and the Recyclerie Aquarium opens its doors three times a week, offering everything from handbags to bookshelves – treasures for every heart's desire at incredibly low prices. Tourrettes is a haven for art lovers, with captivating pieces displayed in its narrow alleys, charming squares, restaurants, and even in a small, yet wonderfully rich museum. Several times a year, the 'Open Studio Days' invite the public to explore the works of the many artists supported by the village.
