Valera Camp

A rustic, discreet, and peaceful setting nestled in the greenery of a meadow, yet only 4.5 km from the historic centre of Parma, which is easily accessible by bicycle. The campsite is situated within an ancient estate that includes a historic villa and a botanical garden (which can be visited upon request). It is ideal for self-contained campervans and motorhomes equipped with their own toilet and shower. On-site, you will have access to drinking water, a covered picnic table, and a barbecue for cooking. Nearby, you can enjoy pleasant short walks (5 or 8 km loops) in the surrounding countryside, go cycling along a quiet, traffic-free road (approx. 10–12 km), visit a local farm (where you can buy authentic Parmigiano Reggiano cheese), explore the city of Parma, or drive up to the first foothills just 12 km away. You can even venture further to the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine ridge, crisscrossed by the scenic '00' trail network, reaching altitudes of up to 1,900 metres above sea level (with views stretching all the way to the sea on clear days).
