On our meadows at the old sawmill, surrounded by fields, a small forest, and nostalgic old sheds, you can feel the creative spirit blended with the beauty of nature. You can choose to pitch your tent on a lush meadow with soft ground or on a gravelled area where blades of grass peek through. The property is located on the outskirts of Gerstetten/Heuchlingen, a charming village of 850 people with a small local shop and an excellent Swabian pizzeria. The adjacent Hungerbrunnental valley is perfect for a wonderful morning walk, offering a high chance of spotting deer, foxes, hares, and local birds of prey. It also forms part of the 158km Albschäferweg trail, which offers day hikes between 6-20km around the Heidenheim Brenz region. Depending on whether other campers join us, you might enjoy some friendly company during your stay.

The camp is ideal for dogs, as the nearest public roads are over 100 meters away. You can start your walks right from your doorstep. There are no other resident animals living on the site.

The camp has plenty to discover while remaining easy to navigate, giving children the freedom to explore the grounds. However, please remain cautious at all times, as guests are responsible for their own safety. Additionally, just south of the camp, you'll find a sports field, a playground, and a brand-new pump track perfect for bikes, scooters, inline skates, or skateboards.

Nice little spot for a break or a stopover. Plenty of space and a fire pit. Basically, you have your peace and quiet. Just the occasional pedestrian or cyclist passing by. The site owners are very friendly and keen to make sure everything is fine. We can recommend this place 👍
The communication was very friendly. The only thing we didn't really like was that the grass was waist-high. We had to trample down our spot and luckily had a tent carpet with us. That's also why we didn't use the fire pit, as we would have had to trample down an even larger circle around it. Otherwise, everything was great.

It was a wonderful experience at the old sawmill. Jannik, whom we met in person, is super nice and funny. We had a perfect view over the fields and forests of the sunset. And the sunrise could also be seen right from the camper. Excited to see what else happens with the property in the future.
Parked in a wonderfully quiet meadow. Lovely hosts! Hiking and cycling trails directly from the pitch. Restaurant and village shop with everything you need within walking distance. Thank you!
