Camp Gazzilloro

Located in the heart of Tuscany, Camp Gazzilloro is an ideal base for venturing off the beaten path to discover numerous historical, artistic, and natural gems that remain unknown to most: from the recently discovered 'Tomb of the Yew' 3 km from Fercole, to Etruscan museums, the ancient Etruscan 'Vie Cave' carved into the tuff rock of Sovana, all the way to Pitigliano, Pienza, and the 'Tarot Garden'. The camp is easily accessible from the main road; here, you can relax in shaded spots or on a meadow with a breathtaking sunset view. The area is often breezy and pleasantly cool in the evening, even during the hottest months... in short, a good night's sleep is guaranteed! This is not a traditional campsite, but as fellow campers who love wide-open spaces, we offer people like us a place to park. Since there is no 'reception' at the entrance, please do not book for the same day without contacting us beforehand, and please arrive by 7:00 PM, unless agreed otherwise! The thermal baths of Petriolo are only 5 km away, and the nearest village (Casal di Pari), where you will find a grocery store and a restaurant, is also within walking distance (approx. 1.5 km). The Maremma coast offers a variety of options: from the wild beach of Principina in the Uccellina Nature Reserve and Castiglione della Pescaia to the jewel of Cala Violina and Giglio Island. Siena is just over 35 km away: the Palio takes place in Piazza del Campo on July 2nd and August 16th—a wonderful opportunity to experience the incredible atmosphere of an ancient tradition lived with captivating passion. Florence, with its world-famous art treasures, is easily reachable by car or by bus to avoid city traffic.
