Just outside the village, in the heart of the pristine Blenio Valley, lies Casa Vignaccia—a charming retreat for anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and the authentic Ticino way of life. You won't find a typical campsite here. We deliberately offer just two pitches: one on gravel, and the second currently on natural ground. The spacious property provides plenty of room to enjoy peace and privacy. Feel free to explore the grounds, discover our permaculture garden, linger by the small pond, or make yourself comfortable under the pergola. A special highlight is our outdoor kitchen equipped with a pizza oven. The outdoor kitchen is available for use upon prior arrangement. We fire up the pizza oven together with you—a wonderful opportunity for a cozy pizza night under the open Ticino sky. A shower and toilet are available for our camping guests. A washing machine and dryer can be used for an additional fee. The location is exceptionally peaceful, situated just on the outskirts of the village. From here, you can set out to explore the mountains, forests, hiking trails, and picturesque villages of the Blenio Valley—or simply soak in the serenity around Casa Vignaccia. Important for arrival: Access is via a narrow road and is not suitable for large motorhomes. Small, agile camper vans and compact vehicles up to about 6 meters in length are ideal. Smaller 4x4 or off-road vehicles are especially well-suited. Casa Vignaccia is designed for travelers seeking the simple and extraordinary: zero hustle and bustle, abundant nature, and a slice of authentic Ticino. Arrive, take a deep breath, and enjoy.

Amenities at Casa Vignaccia Directly by the pitch, our guests have access to a **standard toilet and a hot-water shower**. The sanitary facilities are shared only by a small group of around 4–6 people maximum. A washing machine (5 CHF) and a dryer (5 CHF) are available for a small fee. Under our pergola, you'll find a cozy, covered lounge area. Wi-Fi is also provided. Our outdoor kitchen is equipped with dishes, a refrigerator, a countertop for food prep, and an electric stove for cooking. By prior arrangement, we can also use our pizza oven together with you. Our wood-fired sauna can be booked in advance for 90 minutes for an additional fee. The spacious grounds offer plenty of room to relax, unwind, and for children to play.

In Acquarossa/Comprovasco, you will find local groceries and Ticino specialties, while larger supermarkets like Coop are located in nearby Dongio. If you enjoy discovering regional products, the Blenio Valley offers numerous farm shops where you can buy cheese, cured meats, and other local goods directly from the producers. The Blenio Valley is also easy to explore by public transport. Acquarossa-Comprovasco serves as the valley's central bus hub, with connections running throughout the valley and towards Biasca. You can start your adventure right from the doorstep of Casa Vignaccia, exploring the hiking trails, charming villages, and the stunning nature of the Blenio Valley on foot.

From your spot, you are quickly in the heart of nature. Hiking trails start practically at your doorstep, and the historic Museo Valle di Blenio is just a few steps away. The village of Lottigna, with its traditional Ticino houses, is very close by. For shopping, restaurants, and other amenities, the surrounding towns of the Blenio Valley are just a short drive away. If you are looking for a small, authentic spot and prefer waking up to nature and mountain views rather than campsite noise, you have come to the right place.

In the immediate vicinity, signposted trails lead through the pristine landscape of the Blenio Valley—perfect for both leisurely strolls and longer treks. The region is also wonderful to discover by mountain bike or bicycle. Just a few steps from Casa Vignaccia, you will find the Museo storico etnografico Valle di Blenio in Lottigna. Housed in an impressive 16th-century historic building, it tells the story and traditions of the valley. Other beautiful excursion destinations in the Blenio Valley include Negrentino, Nara, Campo Blenio, the Lukmanier Pass, the Luzzone Dam, and the Greina Plateau. The Nara ski resort above Leontica offers slopes for both beginners and experienced skiers, as well as winter hiking and snowshoeing trails. A particular highlight is the 5 km sledding run that winds through the snowy landscape and forests. Skis, snowboards, snowshoes, and sleds are all available for rent on-site. For cross-country enthusiasts, a trip to Campra at around 1,500 m above sea level is a must. There, you will find a 30 km network of trails catering to all skill levels. Campra also offers winter hiking, snowshoeing, and ice skating. If you prefer a slower pace, you can discover the snowy scenery and charming villages of the Blenio Valley on a peaceful winter stroll. Please note that winter activities and the operation of facilities are subject to snow and weather conditions.
