Gaia, featured in the 'Million Stars Hotel' campaign, is the perfect destination for a unique and romantic getaway. Thanks to its special design and expansive glass walls, guests can enjoy an immersive experience in the heart of nature. Your accommodation is located just 10 meters from the Gorda Hut in the Blenio Valley. Situated on a high plateau at 1,800 meters above sea level, the Gorda Hut offers spectacular, panoramic views of the Blenio Valley, the majestic peaks, and the Adula/Rheinwaldhorn glacier. This location is internationally renowned among astronomers for its exceptional stargazing conditions. Gaia features a double bed with duvets and pillows, electricity powered by its own solar system, and heating. A table is reserved for you in the hut, where you can choose from five specially curated menus. Toilets and showers are available in the hut 24/7 (showers cost 5 CHF; please bring your own towel). Gaia can be reached via the mountain road from Largario or Olivone to Alpe Gorda, or on foot/MTB via the numerous mountain trails leading from the Lukmanier Pass or the Nara area. After booking, you will receive all the information needed to reserve your dinner and any additional services.

It was a beautiful night under the stars. Note that the box is very close to the hut and really not very private. It could have greatly improved our experience if it was in a more private location. The food was typical but food, but unlike many cabins, half board was not included and had to be paid for extra. I asked for a vegan option and this was possible for dinner but not for breakfast. Overall I would stay again as it was a super nice experience under the stars, but would bring my own food.
