Glamping Tent at the Hirschenhof Switzerland - 6318 Walchwil This round bell tent is located right in the pasture enclosure on our farm, the Hirschenhof. It is equipped with a large double bed for 2 people, a table, 2 chairs, and a small veranda. Please note that there is no electricity. The toilets and showers are located in the main house (approx. 5 minutes' walk away / shared). The tent is not insulated, so it can get very warm during the day and quite chilly at night. There is a fire pit in front of the main house, and firewood can be purchased. Getting here: The tent is located on the Zugerberg—an ideal area for hiking and biking. There is no direct public transport to the farm; the closest mountain railway is the Zugerberg Funicular, and the nearest train station is Walchwil. Shuttle transport can be arranged upon request (CHF 15 per trip). Important: Driving over the Zugerberg is not permitted on weekends or public holidays. Check-in: Possible until 8:00 PM. Weather: The tent is not insulated. On sunny/hot days, it can get very warm inside, and during colder weather, we strongly recommend packing warm clothing. Farm Life & Amenities: We have many friendly farm animals, including sheep, fallow deer, chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, and more! Families can enjoy our outdoor play area, a small rowing boat on the pond, a trampoline, and more. Our farm tavern, the "Hirschenbeizli," is always open for self-service drinks. The toilets and showers are located right next door (approx. 2 minutes' walk from the tent). Bed linen can be rented for CHF 15 per set. Campfire: You are welcome to make a fire at your own responsibility (crate of firewood: CHF 15).
