Enjoy a relaxing getaway on our suckler cow farm, nestled in the rolling hills of the Emmental. Our location is perfect for hiking and cycling, while the nearby Emme river is the ideal spot to refresh, unwind, and linger after an active day. The room is situated between the farmhouse and the cowshed, offering you a unique glimpse into life on our farm. Through the two west-facing windows, you can look directly into the cows' resting area while simultaneously enjoying views of the lush greenery. The room is equipped with a kettle and a comfortable 1.40m wide bed. Access is through our mudroom/wet room—very convenient for you, as the bathroom is just a few steps away. Please note that the bathroom may be shared with other guests. Would you like to share your stay with friends? You can book the second room on our farm or reserve our pitch. Please keep in mind that due to these options, you may encounter other guests on the property. 🛖 If you have any questions, we are happy to help – we look forward to your visit! 🤗

Hallo, wir sind Christa & Jakim! 2022 haben wir uns auf einem Landwirtschaftsbetrieb kennengelernt. Damals waren wir beide angestellt, seit 2025 führen wir gemeinsam den Bauernhof von Christas Eltern im Nebenerwerb. Bevor wir sesshaft wurden, waren wir unabhängig voneinander viel unterwegs. Jakim arbeitete auf Farmen in Kanada und Paraguay, Christa in Hostels in Zentralamerika und als Tauchlehrerin in Spanien. Auf unseren Reisen haben wir einfache, authentische Unterkünfte fernab vom Massentourismus besonders schätzen gelernt. Dieses "einfache" Lebensgefühl prägt heute unseren Alltag auf dem Hof. Wir lieben das einfache Landleben, die Arbeit auf dem Feld und mit den Tieren, gemütliche Sommerabende am Feuer und ein erfrischendes Bad in der Emme - Wir freuen uns an den kleinen, feinen Dingen des Lebens. Da wir nun nicht mehr so oft verreisen, möchten wir Reisende bei uns Willkommen heissen. Auf unserem Bauernhof kannst du verweilen, die Natur geniessen und einfach sein – ohne grossen Luxus, ohne Menschenmassen, dafür mit Ruhe und Landleben. Komm vorbei, wir freuen uns!🤗

Fancy a barbecue? You are welcome to use our private BBQ area by prior arrangement. There's a good chance we'll be grilling too—we use the BBQ almost every day during beautiful summer weather. We can simply coordinate and share the space together. For washing up dishes, please feel free to use the sink in the utility area, where the bathroom is also located.

Grocery Shopping: In the village of Eggiwil, about 3 km away, you will find various shopping options: the Heidbühl butchery, the Stöckli bakery & café, and the Chäsi-Laden/Bieri bakery. A Coop supermarket is located a bit further away in Signau—only about a 5-minute drive. The nearest gas station shop is in Langnau i.E., which is just under a 15-minute drive. Dining & Hospitality: Enjoy traditional Swiss cuisine at Moos-Pintli in Röthenbach or at the Bären and Hirschen in Eggiwil. The Blapbach treats you to regional specialties and a magnificent view, while Kemmeriboden Bad is renowned for its exclusive culinary offerings and its famous meringues. Craving a delicious ice cream sundae? Then a visit to Restaurant Gabelspitz is well worth it. For a perfect start to your day, we recommend the Stöckli bakery for fresh bread, fine pastries, and a cozy breakfast. If you are looking for even more variety, you will find a wider selection of restaurants in nearby Langnau i.E. or Zollbrück.

Our farm is an organic grassland estate specializing in suckler cow husbandry, where animal welfare and a direct connection to nature are at the heart of everything we do. Alongside our cows, chickens, and cats, the farm managers Christa and Jakim live on-site together with other tenants, creating a vibrant little farm paradise.

Biking and Hiking: Experience the region actively on two wheels – for example, at Marbachegg or along the Hüguhimu route. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy diverse trails such as the Eggiwil House and Bridge Path, or more challenging climbs to Schibengütsch or the Alpgäulücke in Schangnau. As your hosts, we highly recommend the Hegeloch – one of Switzerland's first tunnels – and the Chuderhüsi observation tower, which offers breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland. Excursions: Discover the famous Kambly Experience, where you can sample traditional Swiss biscuits and learn all about how they are made. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Emmental at the Chüechlihus Regional Museum in Langnau and get to know the authentic side of the region. A special highlight is the Egli woodcarving workshop, where impressive artistry meets genuine craftsmanship. For fun and games, head over to Strike Bowling. For a moment of reflection, visit the Würzbrunnen Church, one of Switzerland's most beautiful historic churches, nestled in the idyllic Emmental landscape. Wildlife Watching: Our farm is surrounded by forest, home to foxes, deer, and badgers. With a little luck and patience, you might spot one of these wild animals – bringing binoculars is definitely worth it! 🦊 In our pastures, you can also watch our suckler cows with their calves. You are more than welcome to take a peek into the stable and experience life on our farm firsthand. 🐄

This beautiful farm in the Emmental is well worth a visit. We sleep wonderfully every time we stay in the room overlooking the new open-run cow stable. Everything is provided, fresh, and clean. If you want to enjoy a relaxing trip close to nature, you absolutely must visit Hofparadiesli! Christa and Jakim are truly wonderful people, and we will be visiting Hofparadiesli many more times—we are already looking forward to the next time!
