Welcome to Lexenmühle in the popular Holzbachschlucht, the oldest nature reserve in the Westerwald. Your unique camping spot is located in our large garden, about 100 m away from our old mill. A private path leads you to your own chill-out spot right on the wildly romantic Holzbach stream, which is guaranteed to relax both body and mind. Depending on the season, various fruits and vegetables grow around your pitch, which you are welcome to harvest for your own use after a quick chat with us. The famous Westerwaldsteig hiking trail runs directly past the site, leading through the equally well-known and adjacent Holzbach Gorge. After a fascinating hike through the gorge, we highly recommend stopping for refreshments at the Hof-Café at Dappricher Hof. Shower available for €2 (honesty box on site).

While a swimming lake is just a 10-minute drive away, you'll find bathing in the nearby stream to be a much more enchanting experience! The famous Holzbach Gorge is also within easy walking distance.

Very friendly hosts and a wonderful spot by the Holzbach stream – the area is gorgeous. You're not completely alone, as the two of them also have their campers there; a Nomady sign would make arriving easier.
An absolutely beautiful and relaxed place with water access. We stayed for a stopover and left feeling refreshed. The Holzbachtal is also within walking distance. Lukas is very friendly. Therefore, definitely recommended!
Overall a fairly nice spot with a clean toilet (we didn't use the shower). Everything is a bit dated and on a slope. Shade is only available by the stream. Unfortunately, despite the description 'secluded pitch,' we were not alone there. If we had wanted neighbors, we definitely would have gotten more for the price at a proper campsite. Therefore, 2 stars deducted.
The spot is very quiet and was designed with a lot of love by Lukas. We had plenty of space with our 7.5m motorhome and were able to maneuver in and out in one go. The lounge by the stream is a great place to escape the heat in hot weather, though you will have the company of horseflies and mosquitoes. A trip to the Holzbachtal valley is a welcome change of pace when it's warm.
Absolute recommendation. If you just want to take a break from all the chaos going on, Lukas's place is exactly right. Space to relax, listen to the stream, and stare into the fire. The world feels like a better place immediately after. Very easy to reach, very clean toilet, and extremely relaxed to organize everything you need on-site. I'd love to come back!
