The campsite is situated on grass pavers, surrounded by a large vegetable garden. It is just a 15-minute walk from Lake Sarnen and the village center. From the camp, you can hear the gentle sound of the stream and enjoy views of the Stanserhorn. A water point and electricity hookup are located right next to the site, just 10 meters from the fire pit. The fire pit offers easy access to the stream, which is perfect for swimming or building stone dams. The toilet and shower are located at the main house (80m away) and are for the exclusive use of campers. A coffee machine and refrigerator are available in the stable. Our 'Summerweid' is a magical place that invites you to linger. We live and work in harmony with nature and practice permaculture. You are welcome to harvest from our 800m2 vegetable garden for a small flat fee. The Summerweid is also home to our sheep, ponies, and many clucking chickens that often roam free. A hiking trail leading up to the Jänzi starts right next to our house! Lake Sarnen is ideal for swimming and stand-up paddling. Please note that a steep, unpaved road leads to your pitch.

A wonderful place with really great hosts
A real gem away from the buzz, but perfectly located to discover some Swiss highlights. Olivia is a perfect host and is more than happy to give you some tips.
The driveway to the campsite is really steep and narrow, so no big camper vans — and a good driver with a vehicle with good traction is definitely needed!
A beautiful 'spot on earth' in the middle of Olivia and Tobias's large, well-kept vegetable garden at Summerweid. Drinking water and electricity are available right next to the pitch. Access with 4WD is easily manageable as described. The pitch is relatively new, built with grass pavers (...once the grass has grown through the pavers, the spot will be even cozier than it is right now). A nice private toilet and shower are available; please follow the house rules for their use.
We really enjoyed our stay with Olivia and Tobias. It was very idyllic and quiet, exactly the right place to switch off. The accommodation fully matched the description and the pictures. The very friendly and hospitable nature of the two hosts is particularly noteworthy. We felt completely at home.
We had a wonderful time. The vegetable garden is impressive, and the view is fantastic—it's well worth getting up early to watch the sunrise. Olivia and Tobias are warm and friendly hosts; they gave us great tips for excursions, which we really appreciated. We loved the surrounding area, it's exactly how we imagine a holiday—we will definitely be back.
