Camping on the Moselle
Wiese im Ort mit schönem Ausblick
Germany-56829 Brieden
Our farm is nestled right in the heart of a small village on the Moselle heights. Our village is so tiny and traffic is so minimal that children can safely play football on the main street! The meadow itself is located behind our barn and can be accessed via a side road. As mentioned, with so little traffic, you'll drift off to sleep to the chirping of crickets and wake up to the delightful singing of birds. Okay, during harvest season, you might hear the hum of tractors, but that's all part of the charming countryside life, isn't it? 😊
From the meadow, you'll enjoy beautiful views of fields and the forest. If you're using small tents, you can easily set up two.

A great pitch. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful area and we were able to watch a gorgeous sunset. Thanks to Katharina.
Brief greeting from the host, but no other contact otherwise. Super quiet (okay, they were doing some construction further back, but during normal hours). However, the meadow was steeper than expected, and next time I'll be better equipped for it—I already have jumbo stabilizer feet on my caravan, and even those weren't enough on one side, so I had to borrow 2 boards to put underneath. The view, on the other hand, was fantastic, and the pitch could have accommodated more vehicles (I think up to three). But beware: maneuvering could be tricky with larger caravans and without a 4WD vehicle. My caravan is lifted and fitted with rugged all-terrain tires. Also, simply no infrastructure; I didn't find any bakery nearby or direct shopping options. Self-sufficiency is, of course, a prerequisite. Naturally, you don't have a view of the vineyards or directly onto the Moselle, but you are very close, maybe a 10-minute drive by car. Still, a very nice view of the surrounding greenery, fields, and forests. Hiking and cycling are definitely worth it here, provided you have a certain level of mobility. On the morning before departure, I went for a jog along a lovely stream in the woods, but again: do not enter in strong winds or heavy rain, danger to life. Anyone needing more infrastructure should rather look for a pitch directly in the Moselle Valley, but it will certainly be a lot louder there, both at night and especially during the day. If you love peace and seclusion, this is the right place, and yet you're not far from the Moselle. The locals around are very friendly, and by the next day, I was greeted as if I belonged to the village. I can easily imagine coming back.
Straightforward and a very warm welcome, even though I booked at the very last minute. Would love to stay again.
Super quiet and relaxed.
Nice host :)
Very nice area and beautiful meadow :)
Great coordination with Katharina and all the details were accurate. We had plenty of space and peace + a great starting point for hiking via Pommern or Treis-Karden + friendly neighbors
We had a few quiet days in a beautiful setting. Thanks for that 😊
The spot is really very nice. A bit uneven and you have to maneuver a little to park level. Otherwise, the site is in the middle of the village yet surrounded by greenery with a great view. Communication with Katharina went great. We had a very quiet and relaxing weekend.
