Our site is ideal for smaller campervans, caravans, or tents, and is perfect for anyone seeking a getaway in nature and true peace and quiet. Families are also very welcome – children will find plenty of space here to explore. Our location is wonderfully quiet, situated just outside the charming village of Gais. Despite the rural idyll, you won't have to miss out on any amenities. Shops, an indoor pool, and a cozy outdoor pool are all reachable within a few minutes. And if you feel like taking a break from the camp stove, cozy restaurants in the village and the surrounding area invite you to indulge in local culinary delights. The ideal starting point for hiking: Whether it's a leisurely stroll or an extensive mountain tour – our site is the perfect base for your nature adventures. Our beautiful local mountain, the Gäbris, awaits right outside your tent door, as the hiking trail starts directly at our property. You can set off on a relaxed walk and enjoy magnificent views in no time. Thanks to excellent train connections, you can also reach the heart of the famous Alpstein region in a flash. Gais train station is a pleasant 20-minute walk away. The red 'Appenzellerbähnli' train takes you directly to regional highlights: Appenzell: Historic village center with colorful painted wooden houses. St. Gallen: A city of culture featuring the famous UNESCO Abbey Library. Altstätten: A spectacular cogwheel train ride over the Stoss pass into the Rhine Valley.
