Above the village of Elm at 1,080 m a.s.l. lies this wonderful little spot. It boasts unique views of the mountains, the Martinsloch, and the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. We are happy to turn the garden in front of our holiday home into a campsite for you and share this unique patch of earth. The only neighbors are cows, goats, alpacas, deer, foxes, and us (when we are there). Pure mountain peace awaits you here! You will only occasionally hear cowbells and church bells, or perhaps a chainsaw, a helicopter, or a hay blower from farming work. Just normal life in a vibrant mountain village that is not a museum. Speaking of museums! Here we have: - a UNESCO Visitor Centre - a slate factory - the Sernftalbahn Museum - the Landesplattenberg Engi (historic slate mine) In addition, you can enjoy fantastic hiking, biking, fishing, and climbing here in the "Chlital"... or simply indulge in the art of doing nothing. We often use our house spontaneously, so we cannot say in advance whether we will be there or not.

You can cancel up to 24 hours before the latest check-in time on the arrival day. The refund includes the booking amount minus 1.5x the displayed Nomady fee. The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. Cancellations are only accepted via the designated cancellation tool. Verbal or written agreements cannot be taken into account. You can find out how to cancel in our FAQs.

Rules

If you'd like an earlier check-in or a later check-out, just ask! It's usually not a problem if we don't have other guests arriving/departing the same day.

Please do not enter the pastures: the cows here need every blade of grass! Kindly explain this to your children.

Next to the fountain, you'll find various shut-off valves and an air tap. Please, under no circumstances, adjust these, as the houses in the valley might otherwise lose their water supply (and we'd have some very unhappy villagers!).

When lighting a fire in the fire pit, please remove the protective cover from the adjacent grill.

Please note that the surrounding grounds are terraced and steep. There are no safety barriers in place. Use of the camp is entirely at your own risk.

Notes

We don't rent out the main house – so your only neighbors will be us, if we happen to be there!

We'd be delighted to share our insider tips on all the amazing things you can discover in the 'Chlital' (Sernftal with Elm, Matt, and Engi). Access to the property is via an asphalt road, then it's a short drive up a grassy path to reach the camp.

Please note: Large motorhomes are not permitted. Maximum height 3m, maximum length 6m, maximum weight 4t.

We often use our house spontaneously, so we can't always say in advance whether we'll be there or not.
