Enjoy the feeling of being outdoors in a natural setting. A small, authentic nature campsite perched at an altitude of 1,000 meters with a swimming pool in the Valais Alps. Your pitch is located on a natural, sun-drenched terrace overlooking the Rhône Valley. You are close to all the tourist amenities of the Nax region and the Mont-Noble ski area. You'll find all essential comforts here, including hot water, a bistro (serving simple Valais specialties), and restrooms nearby. A lounge, bar, garden, climbing frames for kids, and a swimming pool (open until the end of September) will keep you refreshed and entertained! There are 50 pitches in total, including a dozen "glamping" safari tents. Terraced levels and lush vegetation give your pitch plenty of privacy. You have direct access to alpine pastures, via ferratas, and mountain villages, and it's just a short drive to Evolène, Arolla, the Ferpècle Glacier, and more.

Surroundings & Activities

Winter access

The site is located at an altitude of 1,200 meters, with mountainous and steep access roads. The main access from the municipal road is cleared of snow directly onto the site, all the way to the wash block. Upon arriving at the grounds, please stop and select a suitable pitch on foot—either directly on the left or on one of the terraces higher up. Please make sure to bring snow equipment (shovels, chains if necessary).

The location and vegetation live up to the name (Safari Camp). If you're traveling with a rooftop tent and your vehicle is then 'blocked' for the duration of your stay, you can walk to the small shop in Nax, about 30 minutes away, to stock up on essentials. The surroundings are a paradise for extensive hikes with magnificent views. The camp is visited by many families on weekends, but on other days it's very quiet (we were there outside of the holiday season). The sanitary facilities are very basic but impeccably clean. Some pitches have a water basin and electricity, both easily shareable with neighbors. Important: Pay attention to the arrival tip! The route suggested by Google Maps is only for hardcore adventurers, especially if the vehicle has a certain length/width. We really enjoyed it, thank you very much.

Very beautiful place, fantastic view, very nice staff, restaurant with very fine food, pool perfect for cooling down. Pitches very large, sanitary facilities clean. Electricity and washing machine free.

Great spot. Spectacular view! All the facilities nice and clean. Visited restaurant on Friday good food and beer very good and reasonable with prices! Staff super friendly and welcoming and spoken English very good as our French is not very good 😐. Thanks again and would recommend to anyone!
