Camping in the Harz Mountains

Alte Faktorei *in Sorge im* Harz

Germany-38875 Sorge
A lush, mown meadow set before a historic half-timbered house dating back to 1705. The building is currently undergoing interior renovations and is only occupied occasionally, ensuring you have plenty of peace and quiet. However, the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway runs right through the village, so you'll hear the nostalgic whistle of the steam locomotive several times a day. Most of the time, you will have this spot in the historic town center all to yourself.
What makes this place special
Michael about the place
  • Park your camper right in front of a charming 300-year-old half-timbered house, soak up the sun, and listen to the gentle murmur of the Warne river in the background. (Beware, the water's cold!)

Everything was great, as always
Everything is great
As always perfect, our absolute favorite place.
Perfect as always. Welcomed with open arms. This is what makes a vacation fun.
Contact with the host and the neighbours was very friendly. However, the barn roof is in need of renovation. A roof tile came loose and fortunately just missed our camper van. We therefore recommend parking well away from the barn. We also felt that the overnight price for a simple meadow in front of a barn was not entirely justified. On the positive side, the nearby hiking trail along the Grenzweg is definitely worth mentioning – highly recommended!
