We can offer you a small but charming meadow behind our beautiful half-timbered house, nestled in the tranquil Selke Valley. Our property is located in the heart of the Harz Nature Reserve. The town is a quiet village of 600 inhabitants. Our little house is right on the edge of the forest, yet central; the L242 road runs in front of the house. Behind the house flows the Selke river, and not far from us, there's a small train station inviting you to take a ride on the Selketalbahn. This is also the starting point for many hiking trails from Quedlinburg to Brocken. The swimming area at the mountain lake is also just a few hundred meters away. Here, you'll also find a fantastic ice cream parlor and a restaurant in the 'Harzhotel'. The area isn't very large, but it offers enough space for a tent, a car with a rooftop tent, and smaller camping vans. You will be the sole user of the meadow; we do not offer double occupancy. Upon request, we can provide electricity and drinking water for a small fee. Garden furniture is available upon request for a cozy breakfast in the garden. Currently, the interior of our house is undergoing extensive renovation, which is why the toilet and shower are only available to a limited extent and upon request. Campfires and other open fires are not permitted due to fire safety regulations.

Hallo, wir sind Maria und Konstantin. Wir sind zwei Natur-Bewunderer, ob wildes Getier oder winzige Pflanzen, wir freuen uns immer wieder etwas neues zu entdecken. Seit kurzem sind wir unter die Dachzelt-Pioniere gegangen und sind gespannt auf die kommenden Entdeckungen.

You can refill your drinking water containers inside the house, by arrangement. Electricity for small appliances is available during the day via an extension cord. The toilet and shower are located in the private residence and can only be used by prior arrangement. Recyclable waste can be disposed of in the appropriate bins. General waste can only be disposed of for a fee.

Konstantin responded to my inquiry immediately: after half an hour, I was already at his door, and he came right out with a friendly smile. Everything was completely hassle-free; I was even allowed to enhance my dinner with a beetroot—still fresh in the ground. Should I ever return to this (for me) remote part of the world, I would stay the night with him and his wife in his little garden again.

Super friendly contact, there was even a shuttle service and Konstantin baked delicious rolls ☺️. Plus, we received a lot of information about the Harz region…. simply a beautiful weekend in the garden with lovely people.

We stayed one night with Konstantin and Maria, and it exceeded all expectations for this platform and the Nomady experience. The two of them are the epitome of easy-going, pleasant hosts, and the spot behind the house, accessible from the rear, delivers exactly what is promised: a wonderful little meadow with a view of the forest and the Selke. Quiet and beautiful, with the chirping of crickets. We used the place as a starting point for our Harz tour to Blankenburg, which was ideal. We were thrilled and would love to come back again.
