Our timber house is nestled in the Windecker Ländchen, a region renowned for its pristine air quality, breathtaking landscapes, extensive hiking trails, and diverse recreational activities. Discover a wealth of attractions, natural monuments, and protected nature reserves. Windeck itself is located in the eastern part of the municipality, home to approximately 18,730 residents, and comprises 66 charming villages spread along both banks of the Sieg River. This municipality boasts a fascinating history, stretching back to the Stone Age. In more recent times, Windeck is primarily associated with its historic castle, which has played a role in the narratives of figures such as the Count of Thuringia, the Archbishops of Cologne, the Count of Sayn, the Duchy of Berg, and even Napoleon. Our 'Tischlerschuppen' (Carpenter's Shed) is situated in a small hamlet, part of the Rhein-Sieg district, bordering the Bergisches Land, Oberbergisches Land, and the Westerwald.
