Campinghof am Bodensee – Nature, Tranquility, and Hospitality Welcome to our idyllic camping farm on Lake Constance! Surrounded by forests and meadows, we offer up to three pitches for tents – the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway amidst nature. In just a few minutes by car, you can reach the lido or the charming old town of Stein am Rhein. Nearby, exciting museums await, such as the Hermann Hesse Museum and the Napoleon Museum, inviting you to explore. Our pitches are easily accessible, level, and have a solid surface. Upon request, we offer electricity connections, which are billed separately. During the frost-free months, a sanitary area with toilets, showers, and washing facilities is available for your use. Dogs are welcome upon request. Enjoy the tranquility of the Schienerberg nature reserve, embark on hikes and bike tours, and end the day at our barbecue area. Our active farm is home to numerous animals – from sheep to ponies, and even Indian runner ducks and other animals – all contributing to the relaxed atmosphere. Lake Constance is just 3 km away, inviting you to further explorations and swimming fun. We look forward to welcoming you!

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review here. I wanted to unwind for a week. I had sent Tanja a message with the size of my tent, and she replied very nicely, saying she would do everything to ensure a good stay. Starting with the fact that she was not present as a contact person on the day of arrival, there was no space for my tent (3x3m). The only spot of that size was already occupied. Otherwise, there was at most room for a 1-person pop-up tent. The entire property looked nowhere near what was shown in the pictures. I left once it was clear that I couldn't pitch my tent. Since it was high season, I had no chance of finding an alternative for a week. In short, I had to cut my trip short and go home. This negative review also applies to this platform. The very next day, I reported the trip cancellation and asked for mediation regarding a refund of the rental price. Unfortunately, I haven't received a response to this day. What a shame.

We spent two nights camping on the farm with our two children. It was a great experience that did us all a world of good. The many animals, the proximity to nature, the relaxed atmosphere, and the quiet nights—plus being so close to the lake—completely took us away from everyday life during our short stay. A beautiful hiking trail passes right by the farm, making it a perfect starting point for hikes and bike tours. Tanja and Werner made us feel welcome immediately. We would come back anytime 💚

Dear Tanja and Werner, our holiday week with you was very relaxing and beautiful. We were so glad to have met you. There was so much for our children to discover, it was never boring; you have a great sandbox, and being around all the animals was very good for all of us. Thank you, Tanja, for your creative activities and ideas that you implemented so spontaneously. The soap felting was a particular highlight for them. You have such a calm and relaxed way of interacting with children; you had plenty of time for us, and we really enjoyed our conversations with you. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday in nature, full of new impressions and an experience that was a complete change from everyday life. It did us all a world of good. Thank you so much for everything; we send our best and look forward to seeing you again. The stunningly beautiful Lake Constance is a holiday destination well worth seeing, and there is so much to explore around Öhningen. It is a very picturesque landscape, and Tanja and Werner's place is exactly the right spot to truly experience nature.

-Superb sanitary facilities (hot water) -Very friendly welcome -Daily visits from cats, geese, and goats. Cows and sheep can also be observed. (Of course, just looking, no feeding!) -The fridge with refreshments was worth its weight in gold (don't forget cash for the honesty box!). -Nice and quiet, and highly recommended for "tent people." Even larger tents are well accommodated. Definitely recommended, we had a lovely "time out."
