Le Pivert is the second, middle house you see as you follow the country lane through the property. Tucked away among the trees, it features a covered panoramic terrace overlooking our own private little valley and the swimming pool. Behind Le Pivert, there is also a small garden where you can enjoy views of the surrounding fields and grazing cows that occasionally peek over with curiosity. The mature trees surrounding the cottage provide plenty of shade, coolness, and privacy. A gentle path through the trees leads to the swimming pool. The pool area is furnished with sun loungers, shaded spots, and parasols. The pool is shared with guests from the other holiday cottages and campers from our mini-campsite. It is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM from late May to late September. * A baby cot and/or high chair can be provided free of charge upon request. * The washing machine is shared and located in a common room next to the campsite sanitary facilities. * Bed linen is always provided, tailored to the season. We are located in the southwest of France, right on the border between Lot-et-Garonne and the Dordogne. It is a rolling, hilly landscape steeped in rich history, surrounded by lush and diverse nature. You can enjoy wonderful walks through dense woodlands and marvel at the historic monuments you encounter along the way. We are nestled right in the middle of three famous, vibrant bastide towns: Monflanquin, Villeréal, and Monpazier. In Monflanquin (8 km) and Villeréal (11 km), you will find all essential amenities, including supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, auto repair shops, and more. There are many other fairytale-like villages in the surrounding area well worth a visit: Issigeac, Pays-de-Belvès, Pujols, Puy-l'Évêque, Sarlat-la-Canéda,... The larger nearby towns are Villeneuve-sur-Lot (25 km), Bergerac (45 km), Agen (55 km), Cahors (80 km), and Périgueux (90 km). We are perfectly situated halfway between the major cities of Bordeaux (160 km) and Toulouse (150 km).

PARC-EN-CIEL Just 9 kilometres from us, near the village of Lacapelle-Biron, you can take on an exciting treetop adventure course. There are eight different routes with increasing levels of difficulty, making it perfect for all ages and skill levels. Plenty of other activities await as well: you can play mini-golf, disc golf, try "free jumping", and swim in an all-natural, eco-friendly pool. There is an on-site snack bar, but you're also welcome to enjoy your own picnic. Find all information and prices at www.parc-en-ciel.com [http://www.parc-en-ciel.com/]. VINEYARDS The vineyards of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne are among the oldest in France. Together, they produce no fewer than 19 AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) wines, including the famous Monbazillac, Côtes de Bergerac, Côtes de Duras, Armagnac, and more. Château de Monbazillac and its vineyards are located about 40 kilometres away and offer a fun, informative tour of the castle and its grounds, ending with a wine tasting. More details can be found at www.chateau-monbazillac.com [https://chateau-monbazillac.com/]. Alongside the well-known estates, you will discover many wonderful boutique producers. At Domaine de la Tuque [https://www.domainedelatuque.com/], just 10 kilometres from us near Château de Biron, delicious organic wines are crafted. CYCLING Whether you prefer a standard bike, an e-bike, or a mountain bike, you'll find fantastic routes to explore here. The rolling landscape features occasional steep hills, and the scenery changes beautifully depending on the direction you choose. Head towards Gavaudun, Biron, and Lacapelle-Biron to discover lush, wooded areas that mark the foothills of the Causses du Quercy. You can rent e-bikes at La Station Bee's Villeréal [https://www.stationsbees.com/stations/stations-bee-s-villereal-lot-et-garonne]. Several major cycle routes also run through the Lot-et-Garonne, which you can check out here [https://www.tourisme-lotetgaronne.com/lot-et-garonne-velo/]. HIKING No need to look far: there is a marked hiking trail right alongside Aux Martis! You can view the trail map here [https://aquitaine.media.tourinsoft.eu/upload/Fiche-Rando-376-Paulhiac-2020.pdf]. In our region alone (Cœur de Bastides), there are over 60 marked trails. The Tourist Office website [https://www.coeurdebastides.com/fr/resultat/18/balades-et-sentiers-de-randonnees] offers a great overview, complete with handy downloadable PDF maps for each route. The GR636, which connects with the GR36 at Lacapelle-Biron, runs right through Paulhiac (our village). You can explore this and many other hiking trails across the Lot-et-Garonne here [https://rando.tourisme-lotetgaronne.com/]. ON THE WATER We are ideally situated between the Lot and Dordogne rivers—two iconic waterways that have shaped this gorgeous landscape. Both are great for kayaking, though the Dordogne is especially popular: it meanders past picturesque villages, majestic châteaux, and dramatic carved cliffs, with a few gentle rapids along the way. You can launch from various spots: Domme makes for a wonderful starting point, while Siorac-en-Périgord (closer by) offers an equally breathtaking journey. SWIMMING Fancy a dip in natural waters? Both the Dordogne and the Lot offer wonderful wild swimming spots. Limeuil, Martel, Puy-l'Évêque, and Castelfranc are just a few of the charming villages with lovely riverside beaches. Close to home, just 20 kilometres away, you'll find Lac de Lougratte [http://www.lougratte.com/frbaignade.html]. Part of a leisure park, this lake features a water slide, a diving pontoon, pedalo rentals, a snack bar, and play areas for the little ones.
