Tharandt's central location offers you a world of possibilities! Beyond the fantastic hiking trails, our capital city, Dresden, is just a 20-minute drive or train ride away, perfect for shopping and, of course, sightseeing. The charming mining town of Freiberg, with its incredible Terra Mineralia Museum, is also well worth a visit and is only about 40 minutes away by car. Even in winter, a visit can be incredibly rewarding! You can reach Altenberg in about 45 minutes by car. If we have enough snow here in winter, it's absolutely worth bringing your cross-country skis to explore the beautiful forest paths. However, we can't guarantee snow.

Very nice place, Tony gave us a warm welcome. Also ideal for day trips to Dresden by train.
I was on a cycling trip and spent one night here. Everything was O.K.
It was a good place for camping. We had everything. Sometimes could be a bit noisy because of road near by
The overnight spot is perfectly adequate. If you don't have an issue with train and car noise, you can get a good and relaxed night's sleep. Unfortunately, things didn't go well with the key to the house to access the toilet and bathroom—Tony's substitute couldn't find the key, so the house wasn't accessible again until 8:30 AM. However, I think that was an exception.
Very nice accommodation, very friendly hosts and many hiking opportunities
A super awesome place. I was by myself and was able to let my dog run off-leash thanks to the fenced-in grounds. If you go through a gate at the back of the property, you are right in the nature reserve with plenty of hiking trails. Well – you definitely need good footwear. Tony is an extremely pleasant host who can also share quite a bit about the history of the lodge. If I ever visit this area again, a stop at Tony's is an absolute must. Thanks for everything
Very nice and dedicated host. We really enjoyed the evenings by the campfire and the Tharandt Forest. The pitch had everything we needed and offered plenty of space.
I had the place all to myself and really enjoyed the Sunday peace and quiet. Tony is a very thoughtful host. Thank you, Tony.
