Our location is ideal for hiking and biking. After a fulfilling day, the nearby Emme river invites you to refresh, relax, and linger. A covered bike rack is available for your bicycle. If you are arriving by car, you can use an uncovered parking space on the farm premises.
The room is located on the 1st floor of our farmhouse, built in 1846. It is simply furnished, spacious, and features three south-facing windows. In the room, you will find a kettle and a comfortable 1.40m wide bed. Access to your room is via a wooden gallery (Laube), which is also used by two other tenants. You are welcome to use the gallery as a balcony (see photo). The bathroom is located on the ground floor of the farmhouse and can be reached via a short walk of about 50 meters; it may also be used by other Nomady guests.
Would you like to share your stay with friends? Then book the second room on our farm or reserve our pitch. Please note that due to these offerings, other guests may also be present on the farm. 🛖

Hallo, wir sind Christa & Jakim!
2022 haben wir uns auf einem Landwirtschaftsbetrieb kennengelernt. Damals waren wir beide angestellt, seit 2025 führen wir gemeinsam den Bauernhof von Christas Eltern im Nebenerwerb.
Bevor wir sesshaft wurden, waren wir unabhängig voneinander viel unterwegs. Jakim arbeitete auf Farmen in Kanada und Paraguay, Christa in Hostels in Zentralamerika und als Tauchlehrerin in Spanien. Auf unseren Reisen haben wir einfache, authentische Unterkünfte fernab vom Massentourismus besonders schätzen gelernt.
Dieses "einfache" Lebensgefühl prägt heute unseren Alltag auf dem Hof. Wir lieben das einfache Landleben, die Arbeit auf dem Feld und mit den Tieren, gemütliche Sommerabende am Feuer und ein erfrischendes Bad in der Emme - Wir freuen uns an den kleinen, feinen Dingen des Lebens.
Da wir nun nicht mehr so oft verreisen, möchten wir Reisende bei uns Willkommen heissen. Auf unserem Bauernhof kannst du verweilen, die Natur geniessen und einfach sein – ohne grossen Luxus, ohne Menschenmassen, dafür mit Ruhe und Landleben. Komm vorbei, wir freuen uns!🤗

Fancy a barbecue? You are more than welcome to use our private BBQ area by prior arrangement. You might even find us there too—we fire up the grill almost every day during beautiful summer weather! We can easily coordinate so everyone can enjoy the space together.
For washing up dishes, please feel free to use the sink in the utility area, where the bathroom is also located.

Grocery Shopping:
In the village of Eggiwil, just 3 km away, you will find various shopping options: the Heidbühl butchery, the Stöckli bakery and café, and the Chäsi-Laden/Bieri bakery. A bit further away in Signau—only about 5 minutes by car—there is a Coop supermarket. The nearest gas station shop is located in Langnau i.E., which is a short 15-minute drive.
Dining & Hospitality:
Enjoy traditional Swiss cuisine at Moos-Pintli in Röthenbach or at the Bären and Hirschen in Eggiwil. The Blapbach treats you to regional specialties and a magnificent view, while Kemmeriboden Bad is renowned for its exclusive culinary offerings and its world-famous meringues. Craving a delicious ice cream sundae? Then a visit to Restaurant Gabelspitz is a must. For a perfect start to your day, we recommend the Stöckli bakery for fresh bread, fine pastries, and a cozy breakfast. If you are looking for even more variety, you will find a wider selection of restaurants in nearby Langnau i.E. or Zollbrück.

Our farm is an organic grassland operation specializing in suckler cow husbandry, where animal welfare and a direct connection to nature are at the heart of everything we do. Alongside our cows, chickens, and cats, the farm is home to managers Christa and Jakim as well as other tenants, creating a vibrant little farm paradise.

Biking and Hiking:
Experience the region actively on two wheels – for example, on the Marbachegg or along the 'Hüguhimu' route. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy diverse tours such as the Eggiwil House and Bridge Trail or challenging climbs to the Schibengütsch or the Alpgäulücke in Schangnau. As your hosts, we highly recommend the Hegeloch – one of the first tunnels in Switzerland – and the Chuderhüsi observation tower, which offers breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland.
Excursions:
Discover the famous Kambly Experience, where you can sample traditional Swiss biscuits and learn all about their production. Immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Emmental at the Chüechlihus Regional Museum in Langnau and get to know the authentic side of the region. A special highlight is the Egli woodcarving studio, where impressive artistry meets genuine craftsmanship. For fun and games, head over to Strike Bowling. For a moment of reflection, visit the Würzbrunnen Church, one of Switzerland's most beautiful historic churches, nestled in the idyllic Emmental landscape.
Wildlife Watching:
Our farm is surrounded by forest, home to foxes, deer, and badgers. With a little luck and patience, you might spot one of these wild animals – bringing binoculars is definitely worth it! 🦊
On our pastures, you can also observe our suckler cows with their calves. You are more than welcome to take a look inside the stable and experience life on our farm firsthand. 🐄

We had a very pleasant stay. The room and toilet room were very clean. The surrounding is super quiet and peaceful, everything that one needs to relax from the city hustle. Christa was very helpful and friendly host :) than you!
