Camping in the Emmental

Hiking, biking, pure enjoyment, relaxation & deer watching. We offer all this and more in Röthenbach, in the upper Emmental, at over 900m above sea level. Our camps are nestled 250m from the farm, right on the sunny edge of the forest, boasting magnificent views of the Hohgant. We've poured our heart into providing you with extensive amenities (e.g., fire pit, gas grill, picnic tables, deer education trail). The area is perfectly suited for biking and hiking. Local attractions like Sahlenweidli, Würzbrunnen Church, and the Röthenbach observation tower are all within easy walking distance. We're always happy to advise you on potential hikes. A well-maintained forest path leads you to our small stream, where you'll find another lovely BBQ spot. If you're keen, you can join us in the mornings for the deer feeding. From mid-June to the end of July, our fawns are born, and you can watch them frolic! By arrangement, you can use the high-pressure cleaner at the farm to wash your bike or take a shower. We also provide electricity and WiFi there.

Our site is nestled at the edge of the forest and offers stunning views. The access road is paved until the final 100m, which continues as a gravel path. The area is terraced and perfectly level.

Great place to relax with everything you need. Very friendly hosts, would love to come back 👍😊
The campsite is well-kept and well-organized, with everything you could possibly need. The sunset view by the fire pit is simply fantastic. Adrian was attentive and helpful; in the morning, we even went to feed the fawns together with his mother. There is also plenty of space for our dog, who was able to run around freely. Truly a lovely little spot to unplug and relax. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful pitch right in the heart of nature! The site is spacious and offers plenty of room, even with a rooftop tent, California, and camper.
Located right at the edge of the forest, it really is pure nature. For our dog, it was a little paradise: woods, meadows, and an idyllic little stream right at the doorstep. 🐕🌲💦
We especially liked the great washing area, the barbecue spot, and the seating provided. The absolute highlight, however, was the gorgeous panoramic mountain view. 🏔️
In the morning, we were allowed to accompany Fritz when feeding the fallow deer. We learned a lot of interesting facts about the keeping and breeding of fallow deer. The accompanying educational trail was also very exciting and informative.
An all-around wonderful, quiet, and special place; we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

A quiet spot with beautiful views! We had a lovely time staying at Adrian & Cécile’s place. There are plenty of options for hiking, running and biking in the vicinity, but staying at the campsite and enjoying the views is also highly recommended.
