Camping in the Black Forest

Our spacious meadow right by the house offers plenty of room for your tent. You can choose whether to set up camp under the open sky or beneath one of the apple trees. Enjoy views of lush greenery, our neighbors' cow pastures, and the "Hahn-und-Henne-Weg," a premium hiking trail right here in our valley. Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find a Kneipp water-treading facility (with a portable toilet you can use), and the nearest traditional "Besenwirtschaft" (seasonal tavern) isn't far either. We have bees, two small rabbits, a sandbox, a swing, and plenty of children's vehicles that you are welcome to use around our house. Feel free to use our large BBQ barrel too. Right by the house, there's a well with drinking water, so drink as much as you like. You're also welcome to hang your hammock between the trees, for example.

Explore the charming 'Hahn und Henne Runde' hiking trail, refresh yourself at the Kneipp water-treading facility, and savor local delights at Besenwirtschaft Gutmann and Vogt auf Mühlstein. Enjoy a dip in the Zell am Harmersbach swimming pool, or embark on the scenic Harmersbacher Vesperweg and the renowned Westweg (Brandenkopf section). For thrilling adventures, Europa-Park is just a 45-minute drive away, and the historic city of Strasbourg is also reachable in 45 minutes by car. The vibrant city of Offenburg is a mere 25-minute drive. Public transport is conveniently located 1.5 km away.

Super friendly hosts. The pitch is slightly sloped, but with your feet pointing "downhill" in the tent, it works out great. Drinking water fountain available at the house, and a lovely spot to sit and eat. Just a few meters away you can do Kneipp water treading, and there is a portable toilet available. This was completely fine during our stay. If we are ever in this area again, we know where we'll be staying. 👍🏻
