Enjoy a relaxing farm holiday on a sanctuary farm for rescued animals, nestled in a small Eifel village amidst meadows, fields, and forests. Simply switch off, watch the children enjoy pony rides and play, or embark on wonderful hikes through the beautiful nature. Children, dogs, and horses are warmly welcome! We have a plethora of different animals, including horses & ponies, donkeys, woolly and mini pigs, goats & sheep, lots of chickens, rabbits, and cats. Of course, you and your children are welcome to help with farm chores, ride on the tractor, soak in the stunning Eifel landscape, or simply unwind and let your soul dangle. For our younger guests, we offer numerous play opportunities: a hay castle, a trampoline, foosball & table tennis, pedal tractors and go-karts, a playroom, and a large playground await the kids. For those eager to explore, there are many wonderful excursion destinations such as the Eifel Zoo, the outdoor swimming pool, the Dino Park, Eifelpark Gondorf, the charming small town of Prüm with its many restaurants and shopping opportunities, and much more.

When it snows, sleds are ready and waiting for the kids. The farm is situated on a slope, making it perfect for whizzing down the path! There is also a sledding hill in the village that is a huge hit with our kids. Just a 10-minute drive from our camp is the Wolfsschlucht, another fantastic spot for sledding and skiing in snowy weather. Unfortunately, snow is becoming rarer here in the Schneifel as well... If there's no snow, we have a shelf packed with games in the lounge. Stable activities still take place as usual, of course, and the hay castle and other play areas are mostly covered.

We had a wonderful week at the Görgenhof. The hosts are always very friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome. The children have plenty of space to play. The farm is in a great location; in just a few minutes, you can walk across the field into the forest, where there is a shallow stream perfect for children to play in. One tip that might help other travelers with tents: even in summer, the nights in this region get icy cold. Warming up the tent worked great with a small fan heater; without it, the nighttime temperatures of sometimes 7°C would have been quite a challenge. We really enjoyed our holiday at the Görgenhof and would love to come back.

Just like during our first stay, we felt very much at home with Aukje and her family and would love to come back. Highly recommended for animal-loving campers looking for a relaxing holiday.

Very nice little spot with a great view of the meadows and horses. The feeding times in the morning and evening were always lovely. Very friendly and everything was very clean 👍🏼 we would love to come back. Wonderful for children.

Cozy farm in a quiet location with lots of animals. Very nice, uncomplicated hosts. Toilets, showers, and kitchen were tip-top clean. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back soon :)
