Park Overnight (PON) offers simple, legal overnight spots in parking areas—ideal for spontaneous and safe travel. The spots are meant for one or more nights and are perfect when you need a quiet, official place to park, sleep and continue your journey.

The motorhome pitch at Sonnenpark in Schönau im Schwarzwald is nestled in the heart of the Black Forest's Belchen region. Perched just above the town center, right by Sonnenpark, this tranquil spot invites you to linger. With two children's playgrounds, a charming small pond (swimming not permitted), a Kneipp facility, and two park areas, it's the perfect place to unwind. This pitch is ideally suited as a starting point for hiking and cycling tours, or excursions of all kinds. You'll even find a golf course directly opposite the pitch!

Rules

To ensure a peaceful environment for our neighbors, please observe quiet hours from 10 PM onwards. Barbecuing is not permitted at your pitch. An official barbecue area is located approximately 400 meters away, at the grill hut above the riding arenas in Gurgel.

Schönau town center boasts no less than three bakeries (Gutmann Bakery, Heitzmann Bakery on Gentnerstraße, and Heitzmann Bakery in the Rewe supermarket). Additionally, Schönau offers two supermarkets (Netto and Rewe) and a drugstore (Rossmann). For dining, you'll find several options in the town center, including the former Gasthaus Ochsen (now Willi's Pfannenstüble), Restaurant Adria at the outdoor pool (accessible even to non-pool guests), the Pit-Stop club restaurant at the sports field, as well as Café Goldmann and Gutmann Bakery (offering lunch snacks). Metzgerei Krone also provides a daily lunch special on weekdays. Across the street, by the golf course, there's a charming little café perfect for relaxing when the golf course is open.

The Black Forest Belchen region is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise, offering endless possibilities. A vast network of hiking and cycling trails opens up the Southern Black Forest, connecting the holiday region between Belchen and Feldberg. Outdoor lovers will find their bliss with the via ferrata in Todtnau or the swimming lakes at Nonnenmattweiher, Windgfällweiher, Titisee, and Schluchsee. Well-known excursions in the region also include the 1,414-meter-high local mountain Belchen, the Todtnau waterfall with the "blackforestline" – a 450-meter-long suspension bridge over the Todtnau waterfalls – or the Coaster Bahn at Hasenhorn in Todtnau. Upon presentation of your booking confirmation, guests in the Black Forest Belchen region receive the KONUS guest card, allowing you to travel free of charge by bus and train throughout the entire Black Forest. This means you can easily leave your car behind and also enjoy various discounts and free services.

Quiet parking spot, close to a road but with very little traffic at night. Playground and hiking trails nearby. Fairly close to the center, but the walk back is all uphill. There are no services and it's not illuminated at night, however it felt like a quiet and safe area.
