Camping in Ticino

Büssli / Zelt Stellplatz am Dorfrand

Switzerland-6584 Carena
Welcome to our camper van pitch on the edge of the village You are surrounded by nature, mountains, meadows, and a picturesque hiking trail that passes right by the house, leading to Alpe Croveggia / Sasso Guid for breathtaking panoramic views. Please allow 4-5 hours for the hike. Here, you can park on the level dirt track right next to the unused 'rustico' (where farmer Giacomo keeps his chickens 🐓) and immerse yourself in the peace of the mountain world. Please note: the access road is 2.52m wide, so please arrive with a vehicle no wider than 2.3m. We do not offer toilets, showers, Wi-Fi, or electricity. However, there is a public fountain with drinking water on the right side of the property. For meals, we recommend the village restaurant or shopping in Giubiasco/Bellinzona. The Morobbia Valley is ideal for hiking, biking, mushroom picking, and experiencing untouched nature to the fullest. We look forward to your visit! The farming family, Giacomo & Selina, who house their chickens in the sheepfold, might be happy to sell you fresh eggs upon request 😉 They are briefly on-site every morning and evening to open and close the doors so the chickens stay safe overnight.

Adrian

Just as described. Easy to find. Thank you
We cannot rate the stay itself as we were unable to reach the pitch. Shortly before the destination, a passage was too narrow for our camper (approx. 2.05m wide), so we had to find another place to stay late in the evening. Unfortunately, this narrow point was not mentioned in the description.
