Camping in the Southern Black Forest

We live in a small village, 15 km south of Freiburg. We are Susan & Michael, our two children Maya & Moritz, our tenant Felix, and our cat Amy. Our home offers a charming rural experience, surrounded by abundant nature and tranquility. Numerous cycling and hiking trails invite you to explore the great outdoors. If you're drawn to the city, you can easily reach it by bike. There's plenty of fun to be had here! In summer, it gets very warm, so you can cool off in the pool. Our cozy little shepherd's hut is nestled in our green garden oasis. It's equipped with a small dining area that converts into a bed for two people. Plus, there's a comfortable stove and electricity.

We had a lovely time staying with Michael and Susan - it was a great location for us to explore the Black Forest from, and not too expensive compared to places in the city. We were able to use the bathroom in their house which was very clean and nice, and the carriage is nice and cosy for two. If we ever pass through this area again we will likely rebook!

Susan and her husband are truly great hosts! The shepherd's hut is decorated so cutely and the pool was perfect for the hot day! My partner and I had a lot of fun :) would love to come back!
Cozy little shepherd's hut with a rooftop 'lookout'. The bathroom/toilet is shared with the hosts, who are very nice and accommodating. I enjoyed my time there and—also thanks to the hot water bottle service (thank you so much!)—slept very well.
It was such a wonderful stay with you! Highly recommended! Hope to see you again soon 🙂
Super beautiful, lovingly designed wagon and a great, very friendly, and dedicated host family. My son (4) and I stayed for 4 nights and felt completely at home. We'll definitely be back!
