Welcome to Dossenheim! Located in our orchard amidst the fields between the Bergstraße mountains, the Neckar river, and the historic town of Ladenburg, you’ll enjoy views of the surrounding quarries and endless opportunities for exploration. Whether it's hiking to the two local castles, canoeing on the Neckar, or strolling along the scenic 'Blütenweg' trail all the way to Heidelberg, there is something for everyone. The garden is quite narrow and consists entirely of fruit trees. There is one parking space with direct access, or space for up to two tents on the rest of the property. Enjoy stunning sunsets to the west and plenty of shade thanks to the many trees. The property is enclosed by a trellis fence and is partially secluded, though you may see the occasional passerby. Please note that the A5 motorway can be heard depending on the wind direction, but this also means the location is very easy to reach. The garden is a natural orchard meadow, so there are no facilities like a toilet, water, or electricity. A small campfire in a designated fire bowl/BBQ is permitted. Old wood from felled branches is available and can be used freely.

For us with a car and roof tent, it was a perfect fit. For large motorhomes, the space could quickly get tight. Super nice, shady spot under the huge tree. Depending on the wind direction, you can hear the highway traffic quite clearly – luckily, that only happened rarely during our stay. Mel was always reachable, and we were even allowed to snack on plums and figs from the trees. We can recommend this place with a clear conscience.

A bit tight for a 6-meter van with bikes. We managed, but it took a lot of maneuvering. The highway is a bit loud. Otherwise, cozy with plenty of greenery.

Actually, it's a nice spot under the walnut tree, if only the highway wasn't so close. Furthermore, the pitch is at most suitable for vehicles 6m long and a maximum height of 2.5m. We paid €21.85 for 2 people, which seems rather high to us; you can already get pitches for €25 that include toilets, showers, and disposal.

The pitch is very well connected (motorway, shopping options) and yet you are completely on your own with a lovely panoramic view of fields and hares! At night, you could even see an illuminated castle. During the day, a few walkers pass by, but at night it is nice and quiet—you can just hear the motorway a little. Contact with Mel was straightforward and very friendly ☺️ Thank you! We'd happily stay under the beautiful walnut tree again ☺️
