Mit oder ohne Pferd: Übernachten im Bauwagen

Switzerland-3986 Ried-mörel
Located just below the village of Ried-Mörel in a secluded setting, we offer a unique stay in our charming, rustic shepherd's hut. It accommodates 2 people (1 double bed) and features a composting toilet, an outdoor fire pit, and a very basic kitchenette with a gas stove. Here, you can enjoy absolute peace, wild nature, and breathtaking views of the Goms valley and the Simplon pass. For those traveling with horses, stabling is available for up to 4 horses, and additional space for tents can be rented alongside the hut.

The site features a composting toilet, as well as a sun sail, a shaded pergola, a hammock, a fire pit, and a fountain (the water is not potable, but can be drunk if boiled). Children and dogs are welcome to splash around in it. Badminton and a Kubb set are available in the yellow wagon. You are welcome to use the fire pit as long as no fire ban is in place. Please always extinguish the embers thoroughly! The Valais is a very dry region increasingly prone to wildfires—I kindly ask you to handle this responsibly. You can bring your own firewood or gather some on-site. When the stable is empty, it can be used as a shelter. All amenities are located close together. A hiking trail passes right by the camp, offering several routes through beautiful, wild, and diverse nature. The cable car to Riederalp is just a 10-minute walk away, with countless trails in all directions for all skill levels. The site is secluded, yet the village is only a 10-minute walk away—10 minutes to the cable car station and 10 minutes to the local shop. The Aletsch Glacier and the Aletsch region are quickly accessible by cable car and on foot, offering breathtaking nature and various sporting activities.

This spot is nestled between the wild Valais nature and a peaceful agricultural zone. The surroundings are stunning, wild, and incredibly diverse, with views that are simply breathtaking! On clear nights, the lack of light pollution in the region makes for spectacular stargazing. It’s also not uncommon to see foxes or deer passing by during the night.

What makes our offer truly unique is the possibility to bring your own horse. Our stables or paddock can accommodate up to 4 horses (15.- per horse/night).
